Rishi Sunak will officially be appointed as Britain’s new prime minister tomorrow morning.
The timetable for the transition has been confirmed after the ex-Chancellor beat out Penny Mordaunt to become Tory leader today.
Liz Truss, the shortest-serving PM in history, will chair one more Cabinet meeting at 9am.
The outgoing leader will then make a statement outside Number 10, before travelling to see King Charles at Buckingham Palace.
Mr Sunak will follow her in, and is expected to give a speech in Downing Street at around 11.35am.
