Richard Arnold has officially left Manchester United and has been replaced, albeit temporarily, by Patrick Stewart as the club’s CEO.
The Red Devils confirmed in November that Arnold would step down from his position before the end of the year.
Arnold replaced Ed Woodward as United’s executive vice-chairman in 2021, and was instrumental in the appointment of Erik ten Hag.
However, while Arnold has learned from Woodward’s mistakes by stepping away from transfers, he took huge criticism for his handling of Mason Greenwood’s future.

Ratcliffe’s 25% stake in the club is expected to be announced before Christmas and though he had not intimated that he would get rid of Arnold, the 71-year-old is expected to make significant changes to the club’s structure.
Jean-Claude Blanc and Sir Dave Brailsford are expected to take roles within Ratcliffe’s set-up.
The British billionaire is paying around £1.3bn for a 25% stake in the club, and will take control of football operations.
John Murtough, head of football, is also expected to leave.
