Rescuers race to save boy, 9, trapped 33ft down a well for two days

The Metro says A team of rescuers are scrambling to save a nine-year-old Afghan boy who has been stuck down a well for two days.

The child, named locally as Haidar, is trapped 33ft down the 82ft shaft in the remote village of Shokok, in Afghanistan’s Zabul province.

Video on social media, taken by rescuers using a rope to lower the camera, showed the boy crying as he was wedged down the well.

His dad can be heard saying: ‘Are you okay my son? Talk with me and don’t cry, we are working to get you out.’
