it might have been a while sinceMichelle Keegan graced the cobbles in Weatherfield but the former Coronation Street star has rarely been out of the news since then.
Michelle, has had a hugely successful post-Corrie career, with such roles as Georgie Lane in the BBC drama Our Girl, playing Tina Moore, wife of Bobby Moore, in the TV mini-series Tina and Bobby, and more recently gracing Sky One hit Brassic and BBC One drama Ten Pound Poms.
The actress’ marriage to Towie alumnus Mark Wright often sees her hitting the headlines too, with the pair most recently snapped letting their hair down at the wedding of DJ Jermaine Paul – aka Jermaine J Funk – where Mark was a groomsman.
The pair recently had even more reason to celebrate after finally completing work on their stunning their stunning £3.5million mansion in Essex – which they’ve long been documenting on social media.
Michelle will be seen next in Netflix’s Fool Me Once, the streaming service’s latest Harlan Coben adaptation.
But just who did she play in Coronation Street and when did she leave?
Who did Michelle Keegan play in Coronation Street?
Michelle Keegan appeared in Coronation Street as Tina McIntyre, a role she played from 2008 until 2014.
Tina, a barmaid at the Rovers Return, was the first girlfriend of David Platt (Jack P Shepherd) but split from him after he asked her to commit perjury to get Gary Windass (Mikey North) banged up amid an ongoing feud.

She was involved in some other huge storylines, including aborting David’s child, struggling with depression after the death of her father Joe (Reece Dinsdale) in a boating accident, and having a surrogate child for Gary Windass and his girlfriend Izzy Armstrong (Cherylee Houston).
She later embarked on an on-off affair with Peter Barlow (Chris Gascoyne) who kept promising her that he would leave fiancee Carla Connor (Alison King) for her.
However their fling came to a crashing halt after she learned that Carla was pregnant.
When did Michelle Keegan leave Coronation Street?
Michelle left Coronation Street in 2014 after Tina was killed off.
Having ended things with Peter, Tina rowed with Carla’s brother Rob Donovan (Marc Baylis) over his dodgy dealings at Underworld, threatening to tell Carla.
The confrontation ended with her falling from the balcony of the Builders Yard to the cobbles, but when Rob discovered she had survived the plunge and was threatening to tell the police he pushed her, he beat her with a metal pipe.
Tina was rushed to hospital, initially surviving surgery for her injuries, but later died after suffering a heart attack.
Her death sparked a chain of events which led to Peter Barlow later being wrongly convicted of her murder – until Rob finally confessed to the killing.
Michelle admitted earlier this year that she knew she was taking a risk leaving the role.
When I decided to leave Corrie, I remember coming to terms with the idea of not acting again,’ she told the Radio Times ahead of Ten Pound Poms’ debut.
‘I always said to myself, “If I don’t get a job after this, at least I’ve had a good run: not many people can say they’ve had this career for six and a half years.”’
Coronation Street continues on ITV on Tuesday night at 8pm.
