A recycling centre had to be evacuated after a large goat infiltrated and went on a rampage.
Staff at Pitsea Recycling Centre in Essex had to leave work on Friday so they wouldn’t be headbutted by Roger the Ram.
Essex County Council said ‘staff gently detained the goat once he had completed his inspection of the site’.
It is not known how the animal managed to enter the site.
But those who wish to make a visit need to pre-book on the website – unlike the goat.
Leigh Perry, manager of Essex Horse and Pony Protection Society, helped capture the goat, which belongs to one of her neighbours.
‘It took a couple of us as the goat was not very co-operative,’ she said.
The council wrote on X: ‘We heard over the weekend a friendly but inquisitive Ram called Roger came to visit the Pitsea Recycling centre.
‘He gave the place a full inspection and got to know the staff a little bit more.
