Real Madrid are keen on a summer move for Reece James, while they also hold an interest in Chelsea forward Kai Havertz, according to reports in Spain.
The La Liga giants want to sign a new right-back in the near future and James is at the top of their list of targets in that position, reports Spanish publication AS.
Joao Cancelo and Juan Foyth have also been touted as possible summer signings, but James is thought to be the right-back most wanted at the Santiago Bernabeu.
However, while Real Madrid always presents an alluring prospect for players around the world, it will be no easy matter for them to sign the England international.
James only signed a new contract with Chelsea last year, a deal which runs until 2028 and the club are unlikely to want to let one of their best players, who is still only 23, go.
The AS report also states that Havertz is well-liked at Real Madrid and has been since his days at Bayer Leverkusen when he was linked with a move to the Spanish capital before heading to west London.
It has hardly been an unqualified success for the Germany international at Stamford Bridge since arriving in 2020, scoring 32 goals in 128 appearances in all competitions so far for the Blues.
Havertz, also 23, may have admirers at Real Madrid, but a summer move does not seem that likely.
