Siân Welby has already emerged as a firm favourite to replace Holly Willoughby on This Morning.
The radio and TV personality, who has worked for the likes of BBC, Channel 4 and ITV as well as appearing as a showbiz reporter for This Morning itself in the past, made her debut as a main presenter alongside Dermot O’Leary on Monday’s episode.
‘This is so weird, it’s great,’ she told viewers at the start of the show, while admitting she’d had ‘stress dreams’ about forgetting her P.E. kit and homework on Sunday night.
However, she certainly got into the swing of things with plenty of viewers impressed with how she settled into the role.
In fact, with the episode still on the air, Ladbrokes named the 37-year-old star as the 2/1 favourite to be to be made a permanent fixture on the ITV sofa.
Nicola McGeady of Ladbrokes said: ‘Punters have really welcomed a new face on the This Morning sofa, and following a flood of bets, Sian Welby has become the new favourite to replace Holly Willoughby on a permanent basis.’

It means she’s already overtaken the likes of Josie Gibson (9/4) and Alison Hammond (5/2), while Emma Willis (5/1), Rochelle Humes (6/1), Cat Deeley (8/1) and Mollie King (9/1) are thought to be in the running.
Siân, who is perhaps best known for co-hosting the Capital Breakfast show alongside Roman Kemp and Chris Stark, impressed viewers with plenty loving the breath of fresh air she bought to proceedings.
‘Got to say I like @Sianwelby as host. Makes the show fun to watch. #ThisMorning,’ wrote fan @mikepriestley13, while @JackAxford10 added on X: ‘Actually love Sian on This Morning! #thismorning’

On Sunday night, she reacted to the news she’d been joining Dermot on the sofa and revealed how excited she is to be stepping into the role.
‘I’m trying to be cool, calm and collected, but I’m hosting This Morning tomorrow! I can’t believe this, I’m on the actual main show. I don’t know who allowed this,’ she quipped on Instagram.
‘Am I ready? Am I a liability? I’m not sure but thankfully I will be with Dermot who is a beacon of joy and an ultimate professional.’
She added: ‘Tune in if you want to see the carnage that could happen because honestly at this moment I don’t know what is going to happen, I’m just going to wing it.’

An insider previously said: ‘Sian has many years of presenting experience under her belt, she is very much ear marked as being a star of the future.
‘She has done really well already on This Morning so the bosses thought it was time to give her the reins to the whole show rather than just segments.’
They added to MailOnline that viewers ‘love a new, fresh face on the show so everyone involved in it is really excited’.
This Morning airs weekdays at 10am on ITV1.
