The late Queen’s private secretary correspondence box is being flogged on eBay for £80,000.
According to the listing, it was used to help organise her duties as Head of State.
The box comes with a removable oak butler’s tray, befitted with inner shelves, which are accessible from the front.
Her Majesty’s private secretary was Sir Edward Young, who now carries out the same role for King Charles, alongside Sir Clive Alderton.
They act as the the channel of communication between the Head of State and the Government.
The private secretary also liaises with the Armed Forces, the Church and the many organisations the monarch is patron of.
On eBay, the listing for the correspondence box reads: ‘An Engraved Private Secretary Correspondence Strong Box.

The seller, of High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire is selling it with collection only.
