King Charles announced that there would be a public holiday on Monday to mark the state funeral, which takes place at 11am in Westminster Abbey.
The 10-day period of national mourning for her majesty will come to a close after the funeral, ending the freeze on Parliament and most public-facing Government activity.
The Government has issued some guidance on what to expect on the day but there are no blanket rules on who gets a day off.
