The Independent’s front page leads with two of the top stories dominating today’s news. The paper’s image is of a bloodied and bandaged woman being led away from the rubble after Russian launched a missile attack – in response to the Crimea bridge blast. 

But the paper’s main story is on tax cuts and a warning from the IFS. The paper says that the Tory tax cuts will deal a £60 billion ‘blow’ to public services.
