PSG preparing to sell Mbappe this summer as French forward announces he won’t renew his contract
Paris St-Germain (PSG) is preparing to sell football star Kylian Mbappe this summer after the French forward wrote to the club to tell them he will not be renewing his contract – which is set to expire at the end of the upcoming season.
The club will now look to sell him this summer to avoid him leaving on a free transfer when his contract expires.
Real Madrid have been a long-time admirer of Mbappe, and with Madrid recently losing Karim Benzama to Saudi Arabia, they are in need of a striker. Madrid are also said to be pursuing Harry Kane. Mbappe will have plenty of interest from European and English clubs.
Mbappe joined PSG on loan from Monaco in 2017, before making a permanent move worth 180 million euros. He has an impressive record of 212 goals in 260 games and has been the top goal scorer for Ligue 1 for the past five seasons and has secured five league titles during his six years at PSG.
