PS5 Black Friday UK 2023 deals will have 30% off PS Plus this week

It’s that time of year again (Picture: Sony)

Sony has started hyping up its Black Friday deals, with discounts already promised on EA Sports FC 24, Assassin’s Creed Mirage, and NBA 2K24.

It’s not just Nintendo that’s getting ready for Black Friday, as Sony has also started teasing their deals, which will run for the next few weeks. They’ve only named a few games that will be involved but there’s already leaks and hints about their plans for bundles, most of them seemingly involving Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 3.

Their Black Friday promotions will run from November 17 until the 27th, during which new PlayStation Plus members can save up to 30% on a 12-month PS Plus subscription (so, around £18 off for PS Plus Essential, £30 off for Extra, and £36 off for Premium).

Existing members only get a 25% discount if upgrading from Essential to Extra or 30% if upgrading to Premium, which seems to imply nothing off if you just want to extend your Essential sub.

Sony is also promising up to 20% off PlayStation Gear, including merch, clothing, and the like. If you can hang on till November 24, you’ll also get free shipping and a PlayStation Heritage Katakana Hat for orders over $75 (probably £75).

The only games mentioned by name, as getting a discount, are EA Sports FC 24, Assassin’s Creed Mirage, and NBA 2K24. But there’s bound to be more than that, from this Friday onwards.

There’s no indication of how cheap the games will become but if Sony is highlighting those three at this stage presumably they’re going to be amongst the better deals.

Since EA Sports FC 24 is also part of Nintendo’s line-up it’s also likely that will become amongst one of the most commonly discounted titles at other retailers.

As with the other console manufacturers, the Black Friday sales will be on both the digital stores and via ordinary retailers – especially the PlayStation 5 bundles.
