PlayStation Plus Collection – this is your last chance (pic: Sony)

Today is your last chance to download 19 free PS4 games from the PlayStation Store and it’s not clear when the offer will end.

It’s still not clear why but after today the PS Plus Collection will cease to exist, but if you download the games now you can still keep them forever.

No specific time has been given for when the collection will be shut down, so it could disappear at any moment, with the PlayStation Store currently showing a message that warns PS Plus subscribers that this is the last day.

With luck, the offer will last till midnight tonight, but you shouldn’t count on that, as Sony has made no statement and it could easily stop at any point today.

The PS Plus Collection was created for the launch of the PlayStation 5, as a way to give new owners access to some of the best games of the previous generation.

Although Persona 5 was removed after a while there were originally 20 games included: 10 first party titles and 10 third party games, as you see in the list below.

Free PS4 games in the PS Plus Collection

    Batman: Arkham Knight (WB Games)
    Battlefield 1 (EA)
    Bloodborne (Sony)
Call Of Duty: Black Ops 3 – Zombie’s Chronicles Edition (Activision)
Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy (Activision)
    Days Gone (Sony)
    Detroit: Become Human (Sony)
    Fallout 4 (Bethesda)
Final Fantasy 15 Royal Edition (Square Enix)
    God Of War (Sony)
    Infamous Second Son (Sony)
    Monster Hunter World (Capcom)
    Mortal Kombat X (WB Games)
    Ratchet & Clank (Sony)
    Resident Evil 7 biohazard (Capcom)
    The Last Guardian (Sony)
The Last Of Us Remastered (Sony)
    Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End (Sony)
    Until Dawn (Sony)

There was originally no suggestion of it being a time limited offer, indeed many expected for the collection to change and expand over time, but now that will not happen.

So far there’s no indication of Sony creating a replacement for the PS Plus Collection and in fact some of the games will no longer be available via the PlayStation Store, once the Collection is shut down.

How to clam the free PS Plus Collection games

To claim the games all you need to do is download them once from the PlayStation Store and add them to your digital library, where they will remain even after the PS Plus Collection shuts down.

You’ll still be able to re-download them for free afterwards, but you do need to add them today or the chance will be lost.

The games can be difficult to find but search for each of the above in the store and make sure it’s the right version, that indicates it’s a part of the PS Plus Collection.
