Protection for Chris Whitty after more harassment

The Times says Professor Chris Whitty, England’s chief medical officer, is to be given greater protection after a video showed him being harassed in the street for the third time this year.

Boris Johnson said that he was “shocked at seeing the despicable harassment” of Whitty, 55, who has become a household name because of his role in government press conferences during the pandemic.
