Chaotic private Covid test providers spark anger from customers as some firms face axe from Government list
The i says a Covid-19 testing firm labelled a “fraud” and a “scam” by customers has defended itself after the Health Secretary warned that companies providing a poor service could be struck from an official list of testing providers.
It comes after reports yesterday that Sajid Javid is understood to be concerned by the cost of PCR tests that are compulsory for people entering the UK. An audit of the 420 providers listed on the gov.uk website is due to be carried out, with some of the worst companies set to be barred altogether, according to reports.
