Has Princess Kate been inspired by her late mother-in-law Princess Diana? There are a few fashion similarities between the two famous women. Diana, Prince Williamβs mum, died in a 1997 car crash when William was only 15 – long before he met his now wife Kate.
Whilst Kate and Princess Diana never met, she is often seen wearing Dianaβs famous jewellery – William proposed to Kate with Dianaβs iconic sapphire engagement ring.
And Kate isn’t Dianaβs only daughter-in-law. Dianaβs youngest son Prince Harry married Duchess Meghan in 2016 – and she too appears to have taken inspo from her late mother-in-law.Β
