For those about to rock… we salute you.
Prince George and Princess Charlotte entertained royal fans as they sung, clapped and cheered along at the coronation concert – but it turns out George has a slightly heavier music taste.
The two eldest children of the Prince and Princess of Wales were in the front row of the concert at Windsor Castle alongside their grandparents, the newly-crowned King Charles and Queen Camilla.
Pop royalty including Lionel Richie, Take That and Katy Perry wowed the crowd with their performances, but Prince William revealed earlier today that his oldest son prefers heavier music.
George, nine, played his first major ceremonial role at his grandfather’s coronation as a page of honour.
William and Kate greeted Big Lunch attendees at the castle on Sunday in an unannounced visit, shaking hands and speaking to concert-goers for around 40 minutes.
During the walkabout William spoke to Caroline Mulvihill, who is a member of the Rock Choir in Windsor and Maidenhead.
She said: ‘We were talking about the kind of music we do in Rock Choir and Will was telling us in their household they have a very diverse music taste and George is very much into AC/DC and Led Zeppelin. It was quite interesting to hear that.’

Another choir member, Sam Leckenby, added: ‘They mentioned they were quite pleased yesterday’s ceremony wasn’t the original five hours long. They were just really lovely.’
Even if George is more interested in metal music, it still seems he had a wonderful time at the concert.
