Prince Harry may have flown over to the UK in May to attend his father King Charles’s Coronation, however it is not expected he will do the same next week when the King turns 75.
His Majesty is due to host a celebration at Clarence House on November 14 to mark his birthday, with many close family and friends attending, but Harry is not likely to be among them.
According to insiders the Duke of Sussex has been invited to the party but has declined the offer, in what is apparently the second time he has chosen to avoid seeing his father.
It was reported in the Sunday Times at the weekend that the King had invited Harry to Balmoral in September to spend the anniversary of Queen Elizabeth’s death with him, but the Duke instead marked the occasion in Windsor.
It has been claimed the pair still “don’t speak much” due to Charles’s “disappointment” at the way Harry depicted his family life in his memoir Spare.

Harry and his wife Meghan Markle have had little contact with the Firm ever since their move to California in 2020, however the way Harry wrote about his stepmother Queen Camilla in Spare has particularly upset the King.
In the book Harry calls Camilla a “villain” who “left bodies in the street”, and accused her of leaking stories about him to the press.
The Duke’s own birthday in September was not marked publicly by any senior royal, although it is not known if they contacted him privately to wish him many happy returns.

A source told The Telegraph: “Communications between the King and Prince Harry remain pretty poor. They don’t speak much, if at all.”
The insider added this could be due to the King’s preferred method of communication, as the “workaholic” monarch prefers to phone or write rather than text or WhatsApp people.
Five years ago the Sussexes attended a lavish garden party at Buckingham Palace to celebrate Charles’s 70th birthday, even delaying their honeymoon to make they could be there.

This comes as Harry and Meghan’s unofficial biographer Omid Scobie gave a scathing account of the Firm to promote his new book Endgame, the follw-up to 2020’s Finding Freedom.
The description on Amazon states the hardback is “a penetrating investigation into the current state of the British monarchy – an unpopular king, a power-hungry heir to the throne, a queen willing to go to dangerous lengths to preserve her image and a prince forced to start a new life after being betrayed by his own family”.
A source told The Mail on Sunday: “I’ve been told this is bad, very bad. It is unlikely that royal aides will comment, but if there are charges of racism, they will, of course, be robustly rebutted.”
