Prince Harry can’t come home
Harry and Meghan are back in the news after Harry’s legal team released a statement explaining his legal fight for the right to personally pay for police protection whilst he and his family visit the UK. Harry wants to bring his children – Archie and Lilibet – over to the UK so they can get to know their father’s home country.Â
The statement was released due to the fact a UK tabloid had the story. It is believed the tabloid in question is the Daily Mail – as that is the only national newspaper that ran the story on the same day.Â
The Daily Mail makes the story sound like Harry and Meghan are demanding their royal security is returned to them. The paper’s front page ignored the fact the prince is wanting to pay for the security himself.Â
The Sun reports that the Queen will not help her grandson, the Duke of Sussex, in his legal fight for the right to personally pay for police protection while in the UK. The paper quotes a royal source as saying: “Her Majesty certainly won’t cave in to his demands.” Whilst the Daily Telegraph points out the Queen may never meet Lilibet (the child named after her) and she may never see Archie again.Â
Other publications picked up on claims Harry and his family would be in danger in the UK. The Spectator asks if Britain really is too dangerous for them. Whilst MYLondon details an incident in which Harry was chased by paparazzi on his last visit to his home.Â
Another angle that has been favoured by the tabloids is speaking to ex-royal protection officers – one who even served Princess Diana.Â
The BBC and The Guardian took a very neutral stance, reporting more on the main points of the statement released.Â

Worth mentioning that every single UK news outlet has omitted just one part of the statement put out by Prince Harry's legal representative.
They all removed the reference to the Daily Mail leaking the story forcing their statement.
