Pontyclun crash: Six injured and driver, 79, critical after ploughing into drinkers at pub
The Mirror says: One person has suffered life-changing injuries after a car smashed into pedestrians in Pontyclun, south Wales – the driver is said to have suffered a medical episode at the wheel.
Six people are injured with one suffering ‘life-changing injuries’ after a 79-year-old man ploughed into a group of people outside a pub in south Wales.
Witnesses described the aftermath as ‘carnage’ with emergency services rushing to the scene.
The driver of the car, a local man, is believed to have suffered a medical episode before the crash, South Wales Police said.
One person has suffered life-changing injuries and the driver is in a critical condition.
The other four have also been taken to hospital as a precaution, suffering from what are described as minor injuries
The horror crash happened outside a pub in Pontyclun last night.
Images from the scene showed a huge emergency services response with at least five ambulances at the scene near the Windsor Pub alongside the air ambulance, police and fire service.
