PMQs – Cabinet ‘more and more complicit’ – Starmer
BBC News says In his final question, Starmer says we have the “shameful” spectacle of the prime minister of the UK being subject to a police investigation.
Starmer says every day Boris Johnson’s cabinet does not speak out they become “more and more complicit”.
“Isn’t this a prime minister and government that has shown nothing but contempt for the decency, honesty and respect that define this country?”
Johnson responds by saying “no”, adding that he and his government “love this country”.
He says Starmer wants him out of the way “because he knows this country can be trusted to deliver”.
The PM says he delivered Brexit and the vaccine rollout.
“The problem with the Labour Party today is because he is a lawyer not a leader,” he concludes, to roars from both benches, adding that he is “getting on with the job”.
