Spurs players expect Antonio Conte to leave during international break
TIMES SAYS Tottenham Hotspur players believe Antonio Conte has managed his last game for the club after his rant that followed the draw away to Southampton last weekend soured relations with some of the squad.
Conte branded the players “selfish” in a ten-minute tirade after the game at St Mary’s and senior figures in the dressing room at Spurs believe there is now no way back for the Italian. The expectation is that Conte will not be in charge for Tottenham’s next game, away to Everton on April 3.
Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, the Spurs midfielder, said that Conte should clarify his outburst to the players. “We’ve all seen it,” Hojbjerg said. “[It was a] very honest and very open press conference he gave.
