Junior Andre’s music career has only just started, but it seems the teen star has already encountered a setback.
Hoping to follow in his famous dad’s footsteps, 18-year-old Junior – whose parents are Peter Andre and Katie Price – signed a deal with Columbia Records in August 2021.
He released his first single, named Slide, in June 2022 and the track was initially received well.
Junior’s debut soared up the iTunes chart and he had the full backing of his followers.
Although, the tune only peaked at number 72 in the Official Charts.
Now, according to reports, Junior has been dropped by his record company due to poor sales and streams since signing his contract two years ago.

As reported by The Mirror, the wannabe pop star hasn’t made quite the splash he had hoped for.
A source told the publication: ‘Junior was so excited to be following in his dad’s footsteps and label bosses had hoped his music would resonate with a Gen Z audience, but sadly it wasn’t to be.
‘Following poor sales and streams, he has been released.’
The blow for Junior’s music career comes after a string of big performances for him this year.
Last month he performed at Camp Bestival music festival and, in April, he joined Love Island’s Antigoni Buxton as a support act for Hrvy at London’s O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire.
After his son Junior launched his music career, Mysterious Girl hitmaker Pete, 50, admitted he had anxieties about his kids being in the spotlight.

Speaking to Metro.co.uk, the Aussie star said he worried ‘every day’ about Junior’s foray into the music industry and daughter Princess, 16, venturing into modelling.
‘But he’s so level-headed,’ he added, with his two eldest children, Junior and Princess by his side. ‘When you speak to him, you’ll see what I mean.’
‘They’re great kids, I’m so lucky,’ Peter continued. ‘Being teenagers, and they’re so respectful and they’re so nice and they’re humble. And if they are like that, I’ve got no worries.’
Quickly U-turning, he corrected himself to add: ‘I mean, that’s not true. I’m a dad, of course, I worry every minute of the day.’
The doting dad has been Junior’s biggest cheerleader since he signed his first record deal, declaring himself a ‘proud pops’ when his eldest took to the stage for his first gig.

He’s also previously teased that Junior was working on an album.
In fact, Junior himself said on Instagram just two weeks ago that a new single was on the way – even hinting at the title.
‘I’m dropping a new track this summer 👀 watch this space 🎶 #onlyone’, he penned in a caption.
It remains to be seen whether Junior will carry on as an independent artist or find himself a new record company to take him under their wing.
Reps for Junior Andre have been contacted for comment.
