People are obsessed with being organised.
Often, this looks like categorised containers for our clothes, pantries lined with designated baskets, every product decanted into its own labelled jar.
It’s probably why people on TikTok are going wild for a 1950s fridge that has sadly been discontinued.
A black and white video of an old advertisement showing the fridge was shared on TikTok – and, as I’m sure any H.O.P (highly organised person) would agree, it’s dreamy.
The woman in the video first points to the shelf on the inside of the door – ‘the most ingenious shelf in any fridge’ – which has one section for bottles and two small drawers for cheeses and butter.
Underneath, there’s a frankly beautiful vegetable draw which detaches completely to make washing and loading your fruit and veg into the fridge easy and convenient.

The inside of the fridge has around five ‘big firm shelves’ that roll all the way out to help you to reach things at the back.
Then, there’s the freezer, which has a small compartment for ice cubes and a handy way to get them out of the tray.
Put simply: they don’t make them like this anymore, and commenters are sad about it.
Users flocked to the comments section of the video shared by @jessrani_, obsessed with what they saw.
‘Man it’s way better then the [refrigerators] we have now,’ wrote one.
‘I wanna go back in time,’ another TikTok user said.
‘I don’t think that’s 1950. That’s 2050,’ commented another.
Others lamented about how our modern fridges fail to stack up.
‘So our fridges have just gotten worse over time is what ur telling me,’ one user said.
Another commented: ‘Technology is advancing, we’re going backwards.’
