Paul Mescal’s sister, musician Nell Mescal, has shared an epic autumn roundup on social media and one photo in particular has got fans hot under the collar.
The first photo in 20-year-old Nell’s carousal showed her older brother, Oscar-nominated actor Paul, 27, watching Hugh Grant’s classic 1999 romcom Notting Hill and people were delighted to learn the Gladiator star’s a fan.
Beneath Nell’s post, one person wrote: ‘Watching Notting Hill on the phone in public is so relatable.’
Another person added: ‘Notting Hill… to me that’s cinema!’
‘First slide is way too real,’ raved someone else, with another person echoing: ‘First slide is actually so important.’
Other Instagram comments included: ‘Is that Notting Hill? So good’ and ‘Wowza.’

Paul is incredibly close to his sister Nell and their brother, Donnacha Mescal, so much so that he brought them along to a pre-Oscars bash earlier this year.
The Irish actor was nominated for best actor at the prestigious ceremony thanks to his incredible turn in Aftersun.

Nell has previously addressed claims that her world-famous sibling is the reason for her success as a musician.
She shared her ‘frustration’ over such comments but explained how she deals with negative remarks.

‘It comes down to having a thick skin because it can be quite frustrating when people say, “oh, you’re only here because of your brother”. I was going to be doing it anyway,’ she said.
‘It come down to trusting what you’re doing. You have to do what you’re doing because you want to and you love it – and not let anyone else’s opinions really deter you,’ she wisely added to the Irish Examiner.
Nell signed a record deal with Q-Prime after dropping out of school in pursuit of her songwriting dreams and noted that even if people do find her ‘through Paul’, most of the time they ‘stay because they like the music’.
