Paul Gascoigne was overwhelmed after he was crowned winner of Scared of the Dark.
The action-packed show hosted by actor Danny Dyer, sees eight celebrities spend eight days living in pitch black darkness while being constantly filmed. The group must participate in challenges in order to maintain their place on the show, and win meals or treats.
In order to leave ‘The Bunker’ in I’m A Celebrity style, the celebrities must shout, ‘I’m Scared of The Dark.’ At this point they are escorted into the light.
Over the four episodes, celebrities Chris Eubank and Max George have left he experiment early, with the former footballer, Chloe Burrows, Nicola Adams, Donna Preston, Scarlett Moffatt and Chris McCausland.
Afer a turbulent journey in a pitch-black environment, Danny announced that Paul, aka, Gazza was voted by his co-stars to take the crown.
The scene later moved to the other celebrities sharing kind words about the football ace.

Love Island star Chloe said: ‘He’s always been open about his emotions and his mental health. I feel like that’s the most remarkable thing that’s happened.’
Struggling to find the words, Paul exclaimed: ‘I’m so happy.’
In typical Gazza fashion, he compared his win to being shot by a ‘cannonball in the b****ks.’
He continued: ‘To come out of the other side and to be smiling is just amazing and a massive achievement, and to win it… it’s such an unbelievable feeling, it’s just fantastic.’
