Paris Hilton attended her first-ever Met Gala on Monday and boy did she dress for the occasion.
The exclusive bash draws some of the biggest names in Hollywood and beyond and acts as an annual fundraiser for the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute in New York City.
This year’s theme was announced as Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty, with Dua Lipa, Michaela Coel, Roger Federer and Penelope Cruz serving as co-chairs beside the host, Vogue editor Anna Wintour.
Keeping on theme, Paris, 42, wore a shimmering leather and rhinestone look by Marc Jacobs but it was her sky-high platform boots that really took the biscuit.
Speaking about Paris’ chic look, Marc, 60, told Vogue: ‘I thought, maybe it would be interest and exciting to see her in a black gown ’cause it’s not typical for Paris.’
But while doting mum Paris totally slayed on the red carpet, she was lucky to make the event at all, seeing as her car was held up by climate activists as it shuttled the A-lister through Manhattan.

According to the Los Angeles Times, protestors held up a banner that read: ‘The 1% are killing the climate,’ in front of Paris’ car.
Other than Paris, the likes of Emily Ratajkowski and Rita Ora led the famous faces arriving at the Met Gala 2023 red carpet to celebrate the ‘first Monday in May’.

Rita was among the first arrivals and wore a stunning black, off-the-shoulder gown with sheer panels and floral detailing, complete with a long train.
It was date night for the Poison singer as husband Taika Waititi came along to the ball, and was also on theme in a long, light grey jacket, paired with white trousers.

Meanwhile, EmRata opted for a cream floor-length dress for the event, with a bejewelled pattern and ruffled skirt.
