The parents of a teenage boy who allegedly murdered them and falsely blamed an intruder have been pictured as shocked family members say he was a ‘normal American kid’.

Lue and his wife Se Vang, both 37, were found dead in their home in Fresno, California, last Wednesday night, along with their 11-year-old daughter who was injured.

Their 14-year-old son called 911 and told cops that someone had broken into their home, attacked his family and fled, but investigators found evidence that the story was made up.

The unnamed teen boy’s remaining family members are ‘in shock’ and ‘in tears’ over his alleged crime, said Pao Yang, a spokesman for them.

‘According to them he’s a good kid, normal kid, normal American kid,’ Yang, who is the president and CEO of the Fresno Center, told KSEE on Tuesday.

‘They don’t know what happened. We want to figure out what happened. We also want to make sure that he’s safe.’

The teen boy’s sister was rushed to a hospital where she underwent surgery and is expected to recover. A seven-year-old boy also discovered in their Miramonte home was not harmed and is under the care of family members, who are part of the Hmong community.

A GoFundMe page for the parents states they ‘were taken from us in a shocking and untimely manner’.

‘Lue and Se were devoted parents, beacons of light, and leaders within our close-knit circle. The loss we feel is immeasurable and has left a profound void in our family,’ reads the page.

‘There are no words to express how our hearts continually break while recalling the tragic loss of our beloved siblings and thinking about our babies, who are left to survive in this world without their birth parents.’

He used several weapons to murder his parents and try to kill his sister, alleged Fresno County Sheriff John Zanoni.

On Tuesday, the district attorney’s office said he cannot be charged as an adult due to his age per state law. He was scheduled to appear in county superior court on Wednesday.

The parents did not have life insurance or sufficient funds to cover funeral expenses or their daughter’s medical bills, according to the GoFundMe page. It had raised more than $12,000 as of Wednesday evening.
