Paddy McGuinness revealed that he’s dealt with his fair share of social media trolling, but pays no mind to it because ‘everyone has an opinion.’
Paddy’s personal life has also been thrust into the spotlight in recent weeks after him and ex-wife Christine McGuinness confirmed their split after 11 years of marriage in July.
The former Take Me Out host joined the hit motoring show Top Gear in 2019 alongside Chris Harris and Freddie Flintoff.
The popular programme has seen a resurgence since Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May left the show in 2015.
Various presenters have come and gone with mixed receptions, before the current team settled into their roles, growing excellent on-screen chemistry.
However, he claimed that he was bombarded with abuse following the presenter overhaul.

‘Everyone had an opinion when we took over Top Gear,’ he said.
‘Everyone had an opinion when Question of Sport changed. You can get praised, you can get slagged off. There is something for everyone,’ he added to Daily Star.
The presenter recently shared that he was a little emotional while filming the latest season of Top Gear after ‘drifting’ in Thailand.
Drifting is a technique where the driver intentionally steers too much, which ultimately causes the tire to lose grip on the road.
Addressing the dangerous move, Paddy said: ‘No (seat) belt, lots of exposed metal – kids, do not try this at home… I’m just going to find a little spot to lie down and have a little cry. Wowzers.’

Later in the series, the golden trio take a trip to Paris to test out the latest in affordable microcars.
Freddie, who is 6 foot 3, said: ‘To everyone’s amazement, I could actually fit in it! I felt a bit enclosed and a bit claustrophobic but I did fit in, although I don’t think you would have got anyone in the seat behind me.
