Oscars cause outrage with ‘shameful’ snub of late stars in tribute segment
The Oscars 2024 has sparked backlash after missing late actors including Angus Cloud and Lance Reddick from the In Memoriam section.
Academy Awards fans blasted the ceremony for being ‘shameful’ for snubbing the names of high-profile stars in the emotional and poignant section that is included every year.
As well as Euphoria star Cloud and John Wick actor Reddick, other performers missed from the tribute included Treat Williams, Terence Davies, Suzanne Somers, and Norman Lear.
Viewers of the glitzy event, that saw Oppenheimer win seven awards, raged on X about the notable absences from the In Memoriam section, with Peter Mann fuming: ‘Did they not mention Angus Cloud in the In Memoriam?! #Oscars for shame!’
