Uzo Aduba has revealed she’s given birth to her first child.

The Orange Is the New Black actress, 42, teased she was pregnant back in June when appearing at the 2023 Tony Awards and cradling her growing bump.

Soon after she confirmed the news by posting a video on social media in which she held up a set of baby pyjamas before saying ‘ta-da’.

Now Uzo has posted a series of snaps sharing that she’s given birth to a daughter- Adaiba Lee Nonyem.

‘My daughter. I’ve never been in love so quickly, so deeply in my entire life,’ she captioned the post, which included a photo of her cradling the newborn and another with her daughter on her chest.

‘I really don’t know what to say, guys. My heart is full. Thank you, God.

She shared the news with a sweet post on social media (Picture: Uzo Aduba/ Instagram)

‘I have joy like a fountain. I have witnessed a miraculous thing, and I feel blessed to know you are ours.’

She added: ‘We love you so much, Adaiba Lee Nonyem – Daughter of the people, treasurer of the mother’s names who came before you.’

Uzo then raved about being a ‘mommy’ and said she was excited to ‘join the club’.

‘I hear the dues are high, but the membership is completely worth it 🙂 #grateful,’ she added.
