This is the scene left behind after two million people descended on Notting Hill Carnival over the weekend.
Massive piles of takeaway boxes, mountains of rubbish and drink cans scattered along roads were just some of the items littering west London’s streets in the early hours of this morning.
Council teams have now taken on the huge task of getting the area spick and span as commuters head back to work after Bank Holiday Monday.
Hundreds of thousands of carnivalgoers enjoyed the final afternoon of the annual two-day party yesterday, which saw music take over the streets.
Celebrities including Lily Allen, Shaggy and Idris Elba also joined in with the fun.
The carnival was started 55 years ago by Caribbean immigrants to celebrate their roots, and has now grown to become the largest of its kind in Europe, and the second biggest street festival in the world.
This year’s event marked the 75th anniversary of the arrival of the HMT Empire Windrush in the UK.

Attendees also paid tribute to the 72 people who were killed in the Grenfell Tower fire with a 72-second silence.
Mayor of London Sadiq Khan said on the first day of the celebration: ‘This is London. An amazing day!
‘The culture and creativity of Carnival shines through once again this year. Thank you to everyone working around the clock to keep Carnival a safe and spectacular celebration.’
A Windrush-themed double-decker bus was also introduced this year and was seen travelling up Ladbroke Grove.
Mr Khan added the ‘beautifully designed’ vehicle told of the Windrush generation’s ‘impact on carnival, the transport network and our city’.

Deborah Klass, of the Windrush Generation Legacy Association, told the BBC: ‘It’s a landmark moment for us – this year is significantly momentous.’
The Metropolitan Police said the mood on Sunday was ‘largely good-natured and positive’ given the size of the event.
Officers made 110 arrests that day for offences including sexual assault, assaulting a police officer and possession of a weapon or drugs.
But yesterday, two men were left in hospital after a spate of stabbings as Notting Hill Carnival drew to a close.
The Met said a 29-year-old man is in a critical condition in hospital following a stabbing in Warfield Road shortly after 9pm.

A 19-year-old man is in a serious but stable condition in hospital and six other men – aged 18, 19, 20, 25, 28 and 40 – sustained non-life threatening injuries in separate incidents.
Another 165 arrests were made on Monday for a range of offences, including possession of offensive weapons, assaults on police officers, possession of drugs and sexual offences.
Deputy assistant commissioner Ade Adelekan said: ‘It is regrettable that for a second year in a row, Monday night at Carnival has been marred by serious violence.
‘Nobody disputes the significance of Carnival on London’s cultural calendar and the overwhelming majority of those who came will have had a positive experience. However, we cannot overlook the stabbings, sexual assaults and attacks on police officers that we have seen.
‘As we do following any major operation, we will be reviewing the events of the past two days and giving thorough consideration to what may need to change in future years.’
Kensington and Chelsea Council gave away free seaside holidays to elderly residents, as it does every year, in an attempt to keep the peace with locals.
