Nine police officers suffered injuries during violent clashes with far-right mobs who were trying to get to the Cenotaph, the Met Police has said.
Two of the officers hurt were taken to hospital with a fractured elbow and suspected dislocated hip.
The force condemned the behaviour of the ‘hooligans’ who ‘spent most of the day attacking or threatening officers’ protecting the monument in London.
