Nigel Farage is said to have broken a specific rule while on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!, despite being warned against doing so by the show’s bosses.

During the latest episode of the ITV series, YouTuber Nella Rose became the second campmate to be eliminated by the voting public, followed by jockey Frankie Dettori.

Their eliminations came after MasterChef star Grace Dent and Britney Spears’ younger sister Jamie Lynn Spears made early exits, both of them withdrawing from the competition on ‘medical grounds’.

Former Ukip leader Farage has ruffled feathers ever since it was rumoured that he would be joining the cast, with many fans vowing to boycott the series completely in response.

For the viewers who carried on watching, they caught an unwarranted eyeful of the 59-year-old GB News presenter when he was shown on camera showering in the nude.

In a new interview, 52-year-old Dettori revealed that behind the scenes, they had been urged not to go for a wash naked – meaning that Farage defied the instructions.

‘We were told to keep our swimmers on!’ he told The Sun.

‘The shower is miles away from the camp so we don’t know what’s going on. I am not going to go and spy on Nigel’s butt!’

Having known Farage before they both entered the jungle, Dettori added: ‘I think he’s doing really well. I mean, I love Nigel, he is super funny, very interesting, very knowledgeable.’

He also stated that he didn’t get ‘involved’ in the heated political debates that took place between some of the celebrities, stressing: ‘I’m not a politician, you know. I just didn’t care, and if there was, I didn’t hear it.’

During a recent episode of I’m A Celebrity, viewers appeared to notice a secret message that had been hidden in Farage’s letter from home.

The former politician’s four children wrote: ‘You will be pleased to hear the boat is afloat and everything’s running smoothly.’

Some people watching thought that the use of language referring to a boat sounded pretty cryptic.

‘“Boat is afloat” sounds like some sort of secret code in Farage’s letter,’ one person wrote, while another remarked: ‘Farage’s “kids” giving him a covert message: the boat is afloat and everything’s running smoothly. Aww, how heart-warming.’

Metro.co.uk has contacted ITV for comment.

I’m A Celebrity returns at 9pm on ITV1 and ITVX.
