An NHS doctor has been arrested on suspicion of sex offences involving an underage girl in Wales.
The consultant, a 52-year-old man, was taken into custody on Tuesday after police were alerted to a property.
South Wales Police were called to a property in Sketty, Swansea, at around 8pm. The call reportedly came from a so-called paedophile hunting vigilante group, Wales Online reports.
He works at Morriston Hospital in Cwmrhydyceirw near Swansea, where he was been ‘immediately excluded,’ according to the health board.
The man was arrested on suspicion of inciting a girl aged 13 to 15 to engage in sexual activity.

He was released on police bail while an investigation continues.
A spokesman for the Swansea Bay University Health Board said: ‘We can confirm that police have been made aware of a video circulating on social media involving a member of our staff.
‘Due to the serious nature of the allegations in the video he has been immediately excluded while investigations continue. Any further inquiries should be directed to South Wales Police.’
The police confirmed it was called to Rhyd yr Helyg area in Sketty shortly before 8pm on February 3 ‘following a report of a man having engaged in child sex offences.’
Morriston Hospital is the major trauma unit for South West Wales and also a teaching hospital for medical students at the Swansea University Medical School.
It has beds for 750 patients.
