Ukraine receives second batch of US weapons as fears grow over Russian invasion
The Metro says Ukraine has received a second consignment of weapons from the US amid the looming security crisis with fears of Russian aggression.
It is part of an additional $200 million aid package allocated to Kyiv to defend against possible attacks, even though Moscow has repeatedly denied plans to invade.
Defence minister Oleksii Reznikov confirmed on Sunday that Ukraine had received the shipment.
‘The second bird in Kyiv! More than 80 tons of weapons to strengthen Ukraine’s defense capabilities from our friends in the USA! And this is not the end’, he said in a tweet.
