Today’s news summary – Paper Talk

Many of Wednesday’s front pages lead with the government’s new target to offer a Covid booster jab to every adult in England by the end of January.

Number 10 has denied a story running in the Daily Mirror which alleges that the prime minister broke COVID rules by attending parties this time last year. A spokesperson said: “COVID rules have been followed at all times.”

Chancellor Rishi Sunak has told the Daily Express voters can trust him to cut taxes by the next general election.

The Sun has a picture of the car crash that actress Sheridan Smith was in during Storm Arwen.

Boris Johnson has clashed with leading scientists who have advised cutting back unnecessary socialising this Christmas, writes The Guardian.

Troops will be brought in to help aid the booster jab drive and get the UK vaccinated to deal with the new Omicron variant, says Metro.

The PM has told the public to not stop socialising despite his scientific adviser’s warning, says The Independent. The paper’s headline reads: “PM and scientist clash over COVID guidance.”
