    The Metro leads with the government’s official reports that says ‘stressed’ NHS workers are ‘burnt-out’ and walking away from the healthcare system and shortages are likely to double in the next five years.

    The Metro’s front splash leads with an official report that says NHS workers are “burnt-out” and many will leave, threatening the future of the NHS. The report from MPs warns that the NHS had up to 130,000 unfilled vacancies before the pandemic, and shortages in the system are likely to double in the next five years as stressed out staff walk away.

    The Metro says donations for five orphaned girls have reached £130,000 after the tragic deaths of their motorbiking parents.

    Mohammed Shahdab and his wife Sheikela Razaq, who was believed to be riding on the back, were killed in a suspected hit-and-run crash in Birmingham on Saturday.

    Muslim family mown down and killed by truck ‘targeted because of their faith’

    The Metro says four members of the same family were struck and killed by a truck in what police believe was a deliberate attack because of their Muslim faith.

    The family were standing together waiting to cross at an intersection in London, Canada, when they were hit yesterday, with four of them dying from their injuries.

    The Metro says just three people out of 126 admitted to hospital with the Indian coronavirus variant were fully vaccinated, Matt Hancock told MPs today.

    The health secretary said ‘we should all be reassured by this’ because it shows ‘the jabs are working’.

    Queen ‘invites Prince Harry to lunch to talk things through’ on his return to UK

    The Metro says the Queen has offered an olive branch to Prince Harry by inviting him to lunch when he returns to the UK next month, it has been claimed.

    Harry is said to be meeting his grandmother at Windsor Castle for a ‘chance to talk things through’ when he flies back for the unveiling of Princess Diana’s statue.
