Germany to allow fully vaccinated UK tourists from Wednesday without quarantine
The i says Germany is to ease the strict restrictions it had imposed on travellers from the UK, following a meeting between Boris Johnson and Angela Merkel.
Germany’s national disease control centre announced late Monday that it will no longer class the UK as a “virus variant area”.
The rules, put in place on 23 May as the Delta variant first took hold in the UK, had placed strict controls on entry and required arrivals to spend 14 days in quarantine.
