Dominic Cummings ‘resembles crazed cult leader’ as primetime BBC interview backfires
The Mirror says Boris Johnson’s former chief advisor has been increasingly critical of the current Government – even claiming there was a plot to oust him from power just weeks after the 2019 landslide election. In the explosive sit-down chat with BBC Political Editor Laura Kuenssberg, the Vote Leave campaign director made no secret of his utter contempt for Mr Johnson’s wife – Carrie Symonds.
Referring to her as the Prime Minister’s girlfriend – he went on to accuse her of holding the real power in Number 10.
Mr Cummings left his post last November after he and close ally Lee Cain lost a power struggle with Mrs Johnson.
