Boris Johnson dismissed lockdown because ‘only elderly people die of Covid’, Dominic Cummings texts reveal
The i says Boris Johnson said he did not believe the NHS would be overwhelmed by coronavirus and suggested people “get Covid and live longer” because most deaths occur in elderly patients, explosive messages released by Dominic Cummings have claimed.
The Prime Minister’s former aide shared a host of WhatsApp messages with the BBC, which reportedly showed Mr Johnson saying in October 2020 that he did not “buy all this NHS overwhelmed stuff”.
