Newcastle’s Saudi takeover ‘hours away’ as Mike Ashley prepares £305million sale
The Daily Mirror says the Saudi Arabian takeover of Newcastle United is on, and Mike Ashley is within hours of selling up.
The Saudis have settled their piracy war with Premier League broadcast partners beIN Sports – removing the biggest commercial obstacle to the £305m deal which is now expected to go through.
Talks have reopened with United owner Mike Ashley to end his unpopular 14-year reign and members of the consortium were believed to be flying to Newcastle on Wednesday night to complete the deal ahead of an announcement.
