Mario Kart 8 Deluxe – just in time for the final wave of DLC (Picture: Nintendo)
It’s claimed that another Nintendo Switch bundle is coming next month, to coincide with the last batch of Mario Kart 8 DLC.
It goes without saying, but you shouldn’t expect a surprise Nintendo Switch 2 announcement before the end of the year. After all, doing so would undermine Christmas sales for the current Switch, which is still proving popular despite its age.
What’s more, Nintendo has already launched a few new Switch bundles ahead of the holiday season, as well as a new red model of the Switch OLED for Super Mario Bros. Wonder.
These bundles are available on Nintendo’s website, but a leak claims that it plans to add one more in November; one that comes with a copy of Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and a three month subscription to Nintendo’s online service.
This comes courtesy of Dealabs’ billbil-kun, who is a frequent and reliable source of gaming related leaks. They regularly share details of PlayStation Plus’ monthly updates ahead of formal announcements and originally leaked the existence of the aforementioned red Switch OLED.
This new bundle includes a red and blue model of the Switch OLED and is expected to launch in Europe on November 20 for €349.
That’s about £304, but billbil-kun estimates that the official UK price will be closer to £310.
If so, that’s quite the bargain. Over on Nintendo’s website, there’s a Mario Kart 8 Deluxe bundle for the red Switch OLED that costs £359.99, and it doesn’t even include an online subscription. The same applies to similar bundles for Super Mario Bros. Wonder and Animal Crossing: New Horizons.

The timing of this newer bundle would make sense considering the final batch of Mario Kart 8 Deluxe’s Booster Course Pass DLC is scheduled to launch by the end of the year.
Although there’s no mention of the DLC being included in the bundle nor does it sound like the online subscription is for Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack, which includes access to the DLC at no extra cost.
