Netflix’s You is officially coming to an end next year with a fifth and final season.
Fans of the drama will see lead star Penn Badgley portray twisted serial killer Joe Goldberg for one last outing set to air on the streamer in 2024.
Just weeks after season four part two arrived, the show’s official Twitter page confirmed that the next series would be the last in a video shared on the social media platform.
The post was captioned: ‘Brace yourself for Joe Goldberg’s final chapter. You will return for a fifth and final season in 2024!’
It’s also been confirmed that You’s showrunner Sera Gamble is stepping back from her role on the show after four seasons.

In a statement shared with The Hollywood Reporter, she said: ‘Making the show alongside our writers, producers, directors, cast and crew has been an honor and ridiculously fun.
‘And I feel lucky to have worked with an artist as gifted and thoughtful as Penn Badgely.’

Her statement concluded: ‘I’m proud of what we’ve all accomplished and feel privileged to pass the torch.
‘I’m excited to watch and support the You team as they bring Joe Goldberg’s journey to its delightfully twisted conclusion.’
You seasons 1-4 are available to stream on Netflix.
