Netflix has got itself a new hit thriller – and fans are all over it.
Released on November 1, starring Rose Williams, Famke Janssen, Finn Cole and Anna Friel, everyone is talking about Locked In.
Set in the English countryside, this romantic thriller was the most-watched film on Netflix last week with 17.8million views, according to What’s On Netflix.
The story follows a nurse investigating how one of her patients – who was hit by a car and left only able to communicate via blinking – ended up there.
Through her blinks, Katherine (Famke Janssen) reveals to her carer Nicky (Anna Friel) that a murder has taken place.
What ensues is a series of flashbacks to Katherine’s life before the incident, and before she adopted her late best friend’s daughter, Lina (Rose Williams).

Lina looks up to Katherine, and quickly forms a bond with her chronically ill son, Jamie (Finn Cole), and they later marry.
Cracks begin to show as Jamie is the heir to his late father’s manor, where they all live, and relationships crumble.
As Lina forms a connection to Jamie’s doctor, Robert (Alex Hassell), Katherine’s life and family is plagued with tragedy which unravels throughout the 1h 37minute drama.
Viewers are raving about the ‘dark and atmospheric’ film, directed by Nour Wazzi, dubbing it a 10/10.
‘Locked In on Netflix – 10/10 what a movie,’ said one viewer, while another took to X, formerly Twitter, and wrote: ‘Locked in on Netflix is definitely a 10/10 I highly recommend.’

‘I’m watching Locked In on Netflix. It’s very dark and atmospheric,’ said another, while someone else chimed in with a further rave review for Anna’s acting, as they said: ‘Really enjoying Locked In on Netflix. Great cast, especially the never less than superb Anna Friel. I loved that searingly gifted performer even before THE iconic kiss and she has just gone from strength to strength in her career.’
But despite the social media hype, critics aren’t impressed as it’s only clocked up 2 stars from The Guardian. Ouch.
You might recognise Famke, as she starred in James Bond’s Golden Eye back in 1995, and more recently as Eve Rothlo in How To Get Away With Murder.
Actor Rose is best known for playing Charlotte Haywood in Sandition, and also as Princess Claude in Reign.
Peaky Blinders fans will be excited to see Finn, who plays Michael Gray in the flatcap-heavy drama.
Meanwhile Anna played the titular character in Netflix TV series Marcella.
