Joan Is Awful has come to life! (Picture: Nick Wall/Netflix)
Netflix has undergone a makeover and even changed its name to Streamberry, which Black Mirror fans may recognise after season six dropped on the platform.
The latest instalment of Charlie Brooker’s thrilling series includes a Netflix platform within the episodes, titled Streamberry.
In the first episode, Joan Is Awful, Annie Murphy’s character Joan sees her life played out on Streamberry, starring Salma Hayek.
Meanwhile, in the second episode Loch Henry, the true crime documentary trailer is also a Streamberry production.
And now, Netflix have turned it into something almost real.
Announcing the change today, the platform’s Twitter account encouraged viewers to ‘Join the Streamberry family today!’ linking to the new website, http://www.youareawful.com.
For viewers wanting to try it, the fake platform looks pretty similar with the same Netflix font, colour and logo.

Welcoming fans to the site, it says: ‘Take or upload a photo of yourself to set up your sweet new Streamberry profile!’
Once uploaded, instead of Joan is Awful, viewers can find their own names and pictures designed into a drama.
Meanwhile, the promoted programmes and recommendations are all Black Mirror-themed too, as some may expect, while a fake site to watch Streamberry shows has launched on: streamberry.tv.
They include Ashley On A Roll Tour Live! from Rachel, Jack and Ashley Too and Selling San Junipero, from San Junipero.
While viewers have been sharing their turns at using the marketing tactic on Twitter, others are warning to read the ‘terms and conditions’ after watching Joan Is Awful.

Annie Murphy plays ‘average woman’ Joan (Picture: Netflix)
The episode saw ‘average woman’ Joan shockingly realise that her life has shockingly been developed into a huge adaptation, all because she didn’t read the small print.
As Joan tries to regain control over her secrets being unveiled on a huge streaming platform, chaos ensues only for her to ultimately find out a huge twist that leaves her questioning all her choices.
Brooker previously told Metro.co.uk that the episode partly originated from a true story.
He told us: ‘Joan is Awful this season, I had half an idea which was, is there a story about… the title for some reason stuck in my head.
‘And I was thinking, is there a story about an average woman who finds herself on the front page of the newspaper?

‘She’s the lead item on the news – not because she’s involved in a terrible scandal, or she’s done something heroic, but just she’s like, [the] main character of the day, her co-workers don’t like the way she chews her food or something minor like that. I was like, I don’t know what the story is, but it’s a funny situation.’
He continued: ‘There’s another idea… which was to do [with] like deep fake AI generated imagery being streamed by a news network. But I didn’t know what to do with either of these ideas. So you’ve got an idea, but you don’t have a story.
‘And then I was watching The Dropout, which is the dramatisation of Elizabeth Holmes and the Theranos story, and I was watching that with my wife and we were sort of commenting on like, god, this feels like it happened yesterday, and here it is already a drama on TV.’
He explained that those two ‘half ideas’ were suddenly ‘sucked up into this one’.
Black Mirror is now available to watch on Netflix.
