Nato crunch talks over Ukraine and Russia as bid to avert war continues
The Metro says Nato defence bosses will meet today to discuss how to avoid war in eastern Europe as tensions in the region rest on a knife-edge.
Ben Wallace, the UK’s defence secretary, will join Nato secretary-general Jens Stoltenberg and US defence secretary Lloyd Austin as the alliance considers its response to the 130,000 Russian troops gathered at Ukraine’s borders.
The talks come after Russia’s president Vladimir Putin said he did.
