My Policeman about?
The film is an adaptation of Bethan Robert’s 2012 novel, My Policeman. It centres on husband and wife Marion (Emma Corrin) and Tom Burgess (Harry Styles) as a young couple who fall in love along the Brighton coast in the 1950s. Patrick Hazelwood (David Dawson) develops feelings for policeman Tom (Harry Styles) – with the pair starting a lasting affair.
At the time homosexuality was illegal. For a while, the threesome embraces their lives as a menage trois, until jealousy shatters their arrangements.
The film, like the book, takes place in two eras – jumping ahead to the 90s, a now frail Patrick renters the lives of the now married Marion and Tom, with dramatic consequences.

Emma Corrin of The Crown will appear as Marion during the ‘50s scenes, while pop star Harry Styles will star as Tom and actor David Dawson will take on the role of Patrick.
For the ‘90s, Gina McKee, Linus Roache and Rupert Everett will play Marion, Tom and Patrick respectively.
The film is directed by Michael Grandage and Oscar-nominated Ron Nyswwaner penned the script.

So what’s the My Policeman release date? There’s no official date yet, but production started in April in Brighton, meaning a 2021 premiere via Amazon Studios is possible.
