The Guardian – Mone hits back at PM in row over PPE deals scandals
The Guardian leads with Tory peer Michelle Mone hitting back at the prime minister after he said he was taking the PPE controversy “incredibly seriously”.
The paper reports Mone claims the Cabinet Office, government and NHS “all knew about my involvement from the very beginning” before her husband’s firm signed a PPE contract.
The paper also reports that TikTok staff have been told they should “avoid flagging potential problems on Amazon accounts” to “protect the video platform’s lucrative commercial relationship with the e-commerce firm”. In a statement to the paper, a TikTok spokesperson said the allegations “are wrong or based on misunderstandings”.
