Mohamed Salah’s agent has dismissed speculation Liverpool could lose their talismanic forward to Saudi Arabia this summer.
Salah has emerged as a target for Al-Ittihad, who are reportedly prepared to pay the Egypt international 180m euros (£155m) over a two-year deal.
Al-Ittihad, who have signed Ballon d’Or winner Karim Benzema and Chelsea hero N’Golo Kante this summer, are said to be ready to test Liverpool’s resolve with a 60m euros (£52m) bid.
But Salah’s agent insists his client ‘remains committed’ to Liverpool and would not have signed a contract extension this time last year if he was considering a move away from Anfield.
‘If we considered leaving LFC this year, we wouldn’t have renewed the contract last summer,’ he posted on social media. ‘Mohamed remains committed to LFC.’
